Cameron signed a two-year deal with the AFC East club during the off-season and is expected to make an immediate impact with the Dolphins. At 6-foot-5 and with a penchant for making leaping and contested catches, the former Cleveland Brown should provide a nice red zone target for Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

But after suffering three concussions in the past two seasons, Cameron needs to prove he is back to full health in 2015. He remains confident of doing just that and helping to lead the Dolphins to the playoffs.

In an exclusive interview with BritViewNFL.com, Cameron told me:

“I feel good and I feel healthy. I’ve seen so many doctors and neurologists talking about my concussion history. I’ve taken so many tests and my baseline is the same as it was six years ago and I don’t feel any effects. I’m not out there wandering around and getting lost in my thoughts. I feel very clear and lucid.”

At full strength, Cameron, who is entering his fifth season, is a match-up nightmare and he is relishing being a key player at a position of growing importance in today’s NFL.

He said:

“It’s a great time to be a tight end in the NFL. We get paid more which is good but we’re also used a lot more. You see offenses have success with two-tight end sets and I’m happy to be a part of it.

“This tight end group can be special. Dion Sims is under-rated as a pass-catcher and he can do it all – he can also run and block. Us two together is going to be an exciting combination. With regard to the Dolphins, I feel like we’re so close and things are really going to turn around and be something special.”
